We’re delighted to be working with Will Samson for the first time!

For the past decade, Will Samson has been steadily amassing a catalogue of albums and EPs that explore the spaces between folk, electronic and ambient sounds. His latest offering comes in the form of Active Imagination – a nine-track opus released in May 2022.

Beginning with 2012’s album Balance (mastered by Nils Frahm), Samson has since released through record labels such as legendary Wichita Recordings (RIDE, American Football) and New York based ambient/experimental label 12k (Ryuichi Sakamoto, Taylor Deupree, Christoper Willits).

Alongside headline shows across Europe and the UK, he has previously toured with artists such as S. Carey, The Album Leaf, Kurt Vile and many more.

‘A stunning new full-length… delicate strands of electronica, ambient and folk’ – Record Collector

‘…intricacy and tenderness recalling kindred spirits such as Nils Frahm and Sufjan Stevens‘ – The Sunday Times

Local support comes from Alf Whitby. Alf Whitby is the alter ego of Manchester based songwriter and alternative-folk artist Andrew Keaveney. It’s his medium and form to converse on subjects which have too often been held close, allowing for a cathartic honesty, expression and release.

His music and live show consists of dynamic songs that drift through landscapes that embody the feelings of a 20 something scrambling to figure stuff out. With live accompaniment supporting the core of piano and acoustic guitar, this is for fans of Matt Corby, Sufjan Stevens and Moses Sumney.
