We’re delighted to be promoting two shows for former Broken Family Band frontman Steven Adams with his new incarnation, Singing Adams!

Singing Adams at Dulcimer, Manchester

Better known as singer/guitarist/songwriter from The Broken Family Band, Steven Adams called time on that outfit at the end of 2009. A year later he’s back with Singing Adams, a new band kicking out super-catchy choruses, great harmonies and showcasing his trademark lyrical incision.

Melinda Bronstein (Wet Paint, Absentee), Matthew Ashton (The Leaf Library, Saloon) and Michael Wood (Michaelmas) bring a wealth of influences to the band, which comes off like a cross between Spoon, Syd Barrett and a Phil Spector compilation. But more fun.

Singing Adams’ debut album came out in April, with a two singles – I Need Your Mind/Amateur Reactions and Bird on the Wing – preceding it.

‘A terrific debut’ – Uncut

‘Lovelorn gems of modest charm and honesty’ – the Independent

‘An underrated national treasure’ – Q

‘His best set of songs to date’ – the Guardian
