We’re excited to welcome Amelia Coburn back to YES!

Amelia Coburn has a knack for making the unusual sound timeless. Her honest, occasionally hilarious and quintessentially north-eastern persona disarms and beguiles in equal measure.

Drawing inspiration from gothic literature and the shadowy allure of film noir, there is a darkness at the heart of many of her songs, populated by vivid characters and nocturnal creatures that inhabit the liminal space ‘between the moon and the milkman’.

Her Bill Ryder-Jones-produced debut album gained a cult following, with national radio play across BBC radios 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, as well as tastemaker support from Mojo, The Line of Best Fit, Shindig! Magazine, The Arts Desk, Clash, Americana UK, KLOF Mag, Far Out and many more.

A breakthrough 2025 saw her hailed as ‘one to watch’ by Louder Than War and Drowned In Sound, as well as spellbinding sets at SxSW in Texas and feature on Paul Weller’s latest album Find El Dorado.

Tour supports with the likes of The Levellers, Rianne Downey, Hamish Hawk, Stornoway, Rumer and Katherine Priddy followed – not to mention her own sold-out Royal Albert Hall Elgar Room show and mesmerising performances at some of the UK’s best loved boutique festivals.

A sold-out solo headline UK tour in early 2026 solidified her burgeoning reputation, with slots alongside Paul Weller, Suzanne Vega and The Proclaimers showcasing Amelia’s sound to ever increasing audiences.

With a new album around the corner, Amelia embarks on her biggest full band headline shows to date.

‘In a cynical, meta-obsessed world, her music is wide-eyed, guileless and fresh’ – The Arts Desk (Album of the Year)

‘A world full of darkness and light and soundtracked by magic and melancholy’ – Louder Than War
