PLEASE NOTE: This show now takes place at the Eagle Inn, and is now ages 18+, with doors at 7.30pm. All other details are the same and original tickets remain valid. Here’s a message from SBT:

‘It has come to my attention that a loud event will be taking place downstairs on the same evening as my show at the Deaf Institute in Manchester. I’ve always wanted to play this venue but sadly I have to choose sound quality over my desire to play there.’

We’re delighted to be working with SBT (Sarabeth Tucek) for the first time – plus special guest Kiran Leonard!

Sarabeth Tucek emerges from a decade-long hibernation with a new double-album Joan of All under the new moniker SBT – a longtime nickname given to her by the many musicians she has worked with throughout her career.

After retreating from the fevered pace of the record business to concentrate on other creative endeavours, Sarabeth began to piece together the music that would eventually become her most ambitious, personal project yet – the sprawling double-album Joan Of All, which will be released world-wide on 19 May 2023 via her own freshly minted imprint Ocean Omen.

The new album features lead-off single The Gift, as featured heavily on Marc Riley’s BBC 6 Music show, which is taken from the double A-side 7-inch, The Gift / 13th St. #2. Also featured on the album is an entirely different, heavier version of the flip side, entitled 13th St. #1.

Sarabeth will support the epic Joan Of All with a 18-date tour of the UK in May/June 2023, including a BBC 6 Music live session for Marc Riley.

‘A dusky, desert-folk gem’ – The Times

Special guest is Kiran Leonard. Kiran Leonard is a musician and office administrator based in South London. Since 2013 he has released several LPs and cassettes (many with Moshi Moshi Records), toured internationally, and supported groups such as Soccer Mommy, Black Country, New Road, caroline, Ezra Furman, and Lift to Experience. These recordings and performances are documents of different lines of inquiry related to song, home computer collages, little-black-dot compositions, solo and group performance, and guitar.

‘A ridiculous amount of talent’ – The Quietus
