We’re delighted to be working with Robbie Cavanagh and Demi Marriner again – this time, at the Castle!

Robbie Cavanagh performs self-penned, unscrubbed tales of heartbreak, loss, love and discovery, and when he puts pen to paper, he lives by his own words. ‘The more you wrestle with an idea, the more contrived it becomes.’ Robbie writes with honesty, emotion, and, most importantly, instinct.

With a stack of notebooks, a head full of ideas and a collection of incredible jackets, Demi Marriner is a songwriter well worth keeping track of. Demi’s heart and mind are equally beautiful, soulful places and her songs and performance encapsulate that perfectly.

Since their first co-write over a year ago, Demi and Robbie have developed a strong collaborative bond, writing and recording stronger and more moving songs as their creative relationship continues to grow. In this run of shows, the pair will be showcasing individually self penned songs, as well as co-writes from their upcoming EP This House.

Opening the show is Joe Martin. Joe Martin, a Lancashire-based singer-songwriter, is deservedly gaining major attention on both sides of the Atlantic. As a child Joe was brought up listening to artists from Bob Dylan and Townes Van Zandt to the Eagles and Fleetwood Mac. Songs that tell a story played a big part in what Joe would be listening to in his formative years. This can be heard in the music he’s making now.
