We’re delighted to be promoting a show for the rising star Lucy Rose.

After months hidden away in her parents’ basement recording debut album Like I Used To (released on 24 September), Lucy Rose is happy to announce an extensive UK headline tour this autumn. The news comes as Lucy Rose’s new single Bikes (out 16 September) racks up the plays across radio, and the spectacular, hell-raising video nears half a million plays on YouTube just a week after it was published.

Having gained a status and fan-base most new artists can only dream of long before her recent signing to Columbia Records, the young Lucy Rose is now able to sell out thousand-capacity venues with ease, and indeed, her first in-store at Rough Trade East last November was so oversubscribed that 50 latecomers were stuck outside.

Lucy’s journey began when she hopped on a train to London, leaving behind the house she would return to years later to record Like I Used To. Striking out for the big city and the big time, armed with an acoustic guitar and an unstoppable dedication, Lucy played every open-mic night imaginable. She met people on the way who are still with her now and with their support and her graft she learned the ropes. As her songs and sentiments spread their warmth through the iciest of hearts, her debut album is a confessional of disarming intimacy and candid truth.

Tour support comes from Pete Roe, a London-based folk singer/songwriter. Pete plays a plethora of instruments but is known for his mesmerising guitar and spirited piano talent, coupled with his beguiling voice. Pete plays as part of Mercury Award nominee Laura Marling’s band and tours with her as well as Mumford and Sons. Recently they have collectively toured India, Australia Canada and the USA.

This show is a co-promotion with Clash magazine.
