We’re excited to be promoting a tiny show for Manchester-based Jesca Hoop!

On 25 July, Jesca Hoop will be enjoying the close company of the lucky few who manage to squash into the intimate surroundings of The Castle.

Ahead of Jesca’s appearances at Womad and Cloudspotting on the same weekend, the California-raised, Manchester-based artist will be trying out her festival set list with songs from her current album The House That Jack Built as well as favourites from her previous albums.

Support comes from Faitala. Formed during the summer of 2012, Faitala bring together cute 8-bit sounds underneath layers of thoughtful lyrics and beautiful harmonies. Keeping it simple with just three, this loveable collective of New Zealand singer-songwriter David Faitala, EV Houlton on keys and Oli Hughes on drums really make you feel a part of something special. You’re left coming away from one of their shows with a warm and fuzzy feeling and a bunch of catchy songs that will be stuck in your head for days. Their song Plush has received several airplays on BBC 6Music recently and is a firm favourite with Marc Riley who they’ll be playing a live session for on 1 July. Recent shows include supporting Moshi Moshi’s Sweet Baboo and playing the Manchester leg of Dot to Dot Festival.
