Following her performance on our Sounds From The Other City stage, Freya Beer returns to headline Night & Day Cafe!

‘A raw and thrilling new talent,’ Freya Beer is inspired by art, literature, fashion and music; she distils her disparate influences through a gothic soul and devil-may-care spirit that dares to dream in the darkness.

Sparking much attention with her debut singles Bike Boy and Six Months, Freya began 2020 with Dear Sweet Rosie, receiving massive radio support and rave reviews. She bookended the year with Arms Open Wide and then Siren – unearthing secrets of renaissance art and mythology while re-appropriating 70s glam.

In June 2021 Freya released The Calm Before The Storm. A swirling maelstrom of feedback-fried guitars and ground-splitting percussion, Freya stands amidst it all with a towering vocal performance that hooks and haunts with perilous intent.

Her debut Sisterhood Records album Beast was released in October 2021.

‘Freya Beer has the voice. It’s stark emotional and powerful’ – Louder Than War

‘Staying true to Beer’s ethereal identity, the track mutates into a riff-driven, pulsating indie-rocker that is impossible to resist’ – Vinyl Chapters

Tour support comes from Tom Saint. Blending Noughties rock with modern hip hop and hyper pop influences, London-based singer-songwriter producer Tom Saint began releasing his own signature brand of anthemic emo pop in Summer 2020.

Tom Saint · Hellcat

Raised in Southampton on a diet of pop punk, hardcore and southern hip hop, he moved to London at 19 where he discovered synths, raves and the studio. These influences created the backdrop to his own songwriting that documents loss, sex and betrayal. Both catchy and introspective, his music has been supported by BBC Introducing (UK) and Amazing Radio (US).
