When: 6.00pm on Bank Holiday Sunday 24 May 2009
Where: Dulcimer, 567 Wilbraham Road, Chorlton, Manchester M21 0AE

A Month of Sundays is an evening-long event at Chorlton’s celebrated ‘folk bar’ Dulcimer.

The night is headlined by Drag City artist Alasdair Roberts, who previously played under the name Appendix: Out and who has collaborated with Will Oldham and Jason Molina, among others. He has visited Manchester in recent years supporting Joanna Newsom at the Bridgewater Hall and for Pineapple Folk’s ‘Yuletide Gathering’ with Mountain Goats, Emmy the Great and Micah P Hinson.

This Bank Holiday Sunday show, a co-promotion with Pineapple folk, also features some of Manchester’s best folk musicians – namely Denis Jones, Starless & Bible Black, John Stammers and Sparky Deathcap – plus Londoner Lora Linhares-Marx. And there’s possibly even a barbecue!

Dulcimer, in central Chorlton, is on the 85 and 86 bus routes from the city centre, plus the 23 and 23A from Didsbury and West Didsbury and the 168 from Fallowfield. We recommend using GMPTE’s JourneyPlanner to arrange your trip.

Tickets from WeGotTickets.com, Ticketline.co.uk, SeeTickets.com, Piccadilly Records on Oldham Street, Dulcimer’s bar, Ticketline Box Office in St John’s Centre, Liverpool, and on 0161 832 1111.
