This November sees three of CRC Music‘s artists embark on the Into The Wild UK Tour. Having all previously played their own headline shows around the country, Into The Wild sees the coming together of Whyte Horses, Mt Wolf and My Grey Horse in a one-off national tour, with the band rotating the headliner spot over the course of the two weeks.

Whyte-Horses-Night-Day-Manchester

Headlining in Manchester are Whyte Horses. Whyte Horses made an impromptu decision a few years back to escape the everyday drudgery engulfing them and embark on a recording sojourn in the heart of the Italian countryside to make a record like no other. Music producer Dom Thomas and close friends, inspired by the nomadic travels of cult folk artist Mark Fry and outsider Krautrock groups, leased a semi-dilapidated cottage in an isolated mountain range and shut themselves away from the world. Recalling the wonder of wistful kids theme tune ‘White Horses’ they began working on a set of songs that would channel feelings of lost innocence and the optimism of childhood. This tour sees the bands debut UK showing of the forthcoming album taken from those magical sessions.

Second on are Mt Wolf. Currently in the recording studio, Mt Wolf are set to release their new EP in January 2016. Now set as a formidable three-piece with singer and guitarist Sebastian Fox, guitarist Stevie McMinn and drummer Alex Mitchell, the band’s hallmark splicing of electronic and acoustic elements has not been lost in their new EP recordings. With a live sound that both fractures and unites the audience as the lyrics move through deterioration to rejuvenation, the band are primed to build on the enormous success and recognition of their history and move into a new thrilling phase.

Opening the show are My Grey Horse. My Grey Horse released their debut album in 2014 to critical acclaim and are now writing and recording their follow up album, with Supergrass producer Sam Williams, due for release in spring 2016. Along with their trademark layered harmonies, swirling surf guitars and sweeping melodies, their sound has developed a more menacing and heavier edge. They have drawn comparisons to Pavement, The Shins, Weezer, Super Furry Animals, Brian Wilson and Friendly Fires, yet all agree they are carving their own niche.
