When: 7.30pm on Monday 2 December 2013
Where: The Brudenell Social Club, 33 Queen’s Road, Headingley, Leeds LS6 1NY

We’re excited to be joining up with Please Please You and the Brudenell Social Club to bring you this special double bill.

To celebrate the imminent release of Superchunk‘s tenth studio album, I Hate Music, Chapel Hill’s finest visit Leeds for the first time in forever. Mac McCaughan’s indie-punk four-piece return to the UK to play the ATP End On An Era weekender in November. We’re delighted to tempt them north to play The Brudenell Social Club on 2 Dec – the band’s only other UK show.

To make the night all the more special, we have added their old touring buddies Girls Against Boys in support. The NYC-via-Washington, DC post-hardcore outfit are back with a new EP, The Ghost List – their first new material in eleven years. These are the band’s first UK live shows since a memorable ATP performance in 2008. GvsB are due to team up with The Jesus Lizard’s David Yow for some gigs in the States this autumn before joining Superchunk at Camber Sands.

Between them, these two bands have been making a noise for more than fifty years, inspiring thousands of punk and rock bands along the way. To be able to host a fairly intimate party in our favourite venue is a genuine pleasure.

This show is a co-promotion with Please Please You and the Brudenell.

Tickets are also available from the Brudenell bar, Crash RecordsJumbo RecordsSeetickets.comWeGotTickets.com and on 0871 220 0260.
