We’re delighted to be welcoming Montreal’s Folly & The Hunter to Manchester.

Folly & The Hunter’s deep connection to the natural landscape is the foundation for the stories and songs they create. The major tenet of their most recent record, Tragic Care, is about weaving personal experience in romance, death, loss and beauty through analogous animal behaviour. Through organic instrumentation and reverberated vocals, Folly & The Hunter are Montreal’s contribution to a thriving pool of folk musicians aching to engage again with the trees, the creatures and the dirt and to find depth in timeless, yet everyday, simplicity.

Main support comes from Butcher The Bar. Signed to Morr Music (Múm, Amiina, Telekinesis) they make subtle pop songs reminiscent of label-mates Seabear, but also of indie-pop greats such as The Lucksmiths. The band recently toured with Death Cab For Cutie, and last played for us with Allo Darlin’ and Mark Eitzel.

Buy tickets now. Tickets are available from Common (no booking fee), Piccadilly Records, Vinyl Exchange, Seetickets.comWeGotTickets.comTicketline.co.uk and on 0871 220 0260.
