We’re delighted to be presenting Jeffrey Lewis’ first Manchester show in two years – with his band, Los Bolts.

After a year of mostly USA touring, Jeffrey Lewis returns with his band to the old-world side of the Atlantic for a number of UK and Europe gigs in October 2017! As always there will be new songs, old songs, illustrated songs, rock songs, folk songs, stories and poems, in what has been long-established as one of the most reliably compelling and unmissable live acts in all of indie rock.

Jeffrey’s current touring ensemble of recent years, Los Bolts, features Brent (Moldy Peaches, Dufus) Cole on drums and Mem (Cat Tatt, Fem Doms) Pahl on bass and keys. While still coasting on Rough Trade’s 2015 release of the triumphant Manhattan album, Jeffrey has typically not stayed still for very long, and has no less than three new albums in various states of pre-release; one is an album of all covers of songs written by the late Tuli Kupferberg of the Fugs, another is Jeffrey’s third album-collaboration with septuagenarian weird-folk musician Peter Stampfel, and yet another is the forthcoming new Jeffrey Lewis & Los Bolts studio album, though none of these albums has an official release date as of this writing.

‘Jeffrey Lewis is the best lyricist working in the US today’ – Jarvis Cocker

‘Bizarre but brilliant’ – Uncut
